Two months since we last checked in at the site of Prime on the Plaza, and progress has been moving along swiftly. The 37-storey residential high-rise by Macdonald Development CorporationReliance Properties, and Bingham Hill Architects has now reached structural completion as finishing touches continue inside.

Clad in with a series of continuous, vertical, meandering, window bays, Prime on the Plaza's profile is hard to mistake. The 398-unit tower meets the street with a three-storey podium base, the latter to house at least part of the development's 16,000 square feet of amenity space.

Units range from micro to small, or from 295-800 square feet. While not particularly accommodating for families, it is likely that most of the tenants will be young professionals looking for little more than entry onto the local property ladder.

Located along University Drive in Surrey, and within easy walking distance to SFU, the Surrey Central Library, and Surrey Central Station, Prime on the Plaza will be a popular address for those looking for convenience and an easy commute.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
