Two months since topping off, and the 26-storey Imperial Metrotown in Burnaby has now entered into its final phase prior to completion. Finishing touches are now being applied to the exterior, including the last of the glazing and cladding work, and some paint work now making its way up to the last few floors.

The Amacon-developed residential high-rise project will soon be home to upwards of 200 residents spread across 169 units. Located in the bustling Metrotown neighbourhood in central Burnaby, close to the Metrotown SkyTrain, and the Metropolis at Metrotown shopping centre, the project will be a prime address for those looking for a mix of local services and a quick commute.

Imperial Metrotown's bright colour scheme, made up of a mix of white, blue, and orange spandrel, has given the development a distinctive appearance, thereby setting it apart from its neighbours. Down at street level, the inclusion of a four-storey townhouse block will give potential buyers a wider array of living options.

Typical for the suburbs, the townhouse addition, equipped with more traditional layouts and configurations, will help sell this project to those looking for something in-between a condo and a single-family home. Once complete, Imperial Metrotown will be a fine addition to central Burnaby, part of the Vancouver suburb's urban transformation.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
