Though it has only been six weeks since our last update, progress at Concord Pacific's The Arc has continued unabated, the distinctive curves of the Francl Architecture-designed tower having already become a fixture of the downtown skyline.

Viewed from the Cambie Street Bridge overpass, the Arc's signature silhouette is today among the first sights to arise upon entering the downtown core from the south.

While it it will be some time yet before The Arc receives its multi-storey capstone, the two pillar portions of the structure have now risen more than a dozen floors apiece, the building as a whole now roughly at half of its final, 29-storey height.

Viewed above and below in close-up, the cladding work now underway reveals a colourful array of orange, red, and grey spandrel panels, which will eventually scale the entire height of the structure in a series of columns punctuated by window and balcony glazing.

Distinct as well for its swooping, undulating curves, the completed structure will retain a great deal of visual interest when beheld from virtually any angle.

Viewed once more from panda-level, The Arc has quickly become part of the rapidly transforming cluster of highrise developments that have sprung up in the immediate vicinity over the last few years.
