Development along the Cambie corridor continues at an amazing pace. The most recent development to mark its place is Marquise by Blairmore Development Group. Located at 495 West King Edward Avenue, this development is right across the street from the recently completed Opal, and the site of a proposed mid-rise at 4118-4138 Cambie Street.

Designed by GBL Architects, Marquise consists of a six-storey building along West King Edward Avenue, as well as townhouses along an alley on the north side of the site. This mid-rise will replace three bungalows with 58 market strata units—the same as the number of facets on a marquise-cut diamond. There will be seven townhouses and 51 condos, with a mix of studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom + den, two-bedroom, two-bedroom + den, and three-bedroom units. The penthouse units will offer stunning views of the North Shore Mountains.

Residential amenities will include a party room with a kitchen, a landscaped rooftop terrace on the fifth floor, and a business centre. There will be 66 car and 86 bike spaces over two levels of parking. Marquise is less than a two-minute walk from the King Edward SkyTrain Station, as well as several bus routes. One of the main selling features of this development is the easy access to Queen Elizabeth Park as well as the shopping and dining offerings along Cambie Street.
