Macron Developments' 49-storey signature Coquitlam tower, 567 Clarke + Como, has made significant strides since our last update in the late days of summer. In September, the tower's rectilinear form had just begun taking shape. Fast forward to the new year, and both volumes of the GBL Architects-designed project are now visible, with glazing application well underway on the main tower.

Taller than anything built in Coquitlam to date, the 162-metre-high tower is a tangible testament to the vertical growth reshaping Greater Vancouver. When complete in 2021, it will deliver 364 homes above Clarke Road and Como Lake Avenue.

Its proximity to Burquitlam Station on the Millennium Line—located across the street—makes the development an attractive buy for urban-minded locals. Like other projects along this stretch of Clarke Road, Macron's building replaces suburban typology in the form of an auto body shop and strip mall with high-density residential and retail space.

When the dust settles, residents will have over 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities to enjoy. According to the project website, the concrete structure and rough-ins are over half complete, and a collection of 16 penthouses remain available across floors 44 to 48.
