Two months since our last update, and Belford Properties' Sun Towers at Metrotown has continued to rise at a steady pace. The two-tower project, to be accompanied by the multi-storey, Centre at Sun Towers, will stand tall at 41 and 26 storeys, and will soon form an anchor within the rapidly growing Metrotown district of central Burnaby.

Totalling 479 units, Sun Towers at Metrotown will one day be home to upwards of 600 residents, the project's proximity to the adjacent Metrotown SkyTrain station to help make this an easy sell. Central as well to the aforementioned "Golden Row" of condo developments that have recently sprung up in the neighbourhood, the project will form the heart and soul of the district.

Aiding in this mission, the 125,000 sq.-ft. Centre at Sun Towers will be split between 70,000 sq. ft. of office space, and 30,000 sq. ft. of retail at grade. Additionally, for residents, the Centre will also be home to 24,000 sq. ft. of amenity space, which will include a fitness centre, badminton court, golf simulator, lounge, and a 60-ft pool.

Once complete, Sun Towers at Metrotown will be a fine addition to the area, the project part and parcel of Metrotown's ongoing urban transformation.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
