Just over a year since our last update, and the 25-storey English Bay Residences high-rise project has now reached completion. Located in the West End, bounded by Davie, Denman, and English Bay Beach, the tower will now be home to close to 200 residents.

Designed by DA Architects, English Bay Residences boasts a retro pastel blue and aquamarine colour scheme reminiscent of apartment blocks from the 1960s. Moreover, the unique, alternating balcony sizes give the tower a pleasingly quirky outward appearance - without going too far.

Compared to the rendering (above), the final product appears to have remained fairly true to the original plans, albeit save for the aforementioned balconies, which are today much more visually interesting than they could have been. Close to the waterfront, Stanley Park, and many prime downtown neighbourhoods and hot spots, English Bay Residences will be popular address for years to come.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
