Six weeks since we last checked in at 401 West Georgia Street, and cladding has now essentially reached completion. Save for the ground floor, the application of the B+H Architects-designed signature glass exterior has served to make this a standout project within the core.

Developed by Oxford Properties, the 9-storey, mixed-use, 401 West Georgia Street, arranged as a series of stacked cubic volumes, will soon enter into operation as an office block with retail at grade. Built upon the former grounds of the BMO auxiliary complex at West Georgia and Homer, the new office block features three separate volumes (2, 3, and 4 floors apiece from top-bottom).

Wedged onto a narrow build site immediately adjacent to the historic Holy Rosary Cathedral, 401 West Georgia Street appears to play well with its neighbour - the juxtaposition of ultra-modern glass and traditional stonework making for an interesting streetscape.

401 West Georgia Street will also come with a sizeable, 6,600 sq.-ft. amenity space, which will be accompanied by the aforementioned TBA retail space. Once complete, the aesthetically distinctive project will be a fine addition to the core.
