Six weeks since we last checked in at the site of Promenade at The Quay in North Vancouver, and progress has been moving along well. Cladding now spans the majority of the 14-storey mixed-use structure, it to not be long now until the exterior is complete.

Located at the foot of Lonsdale Quay, adjacent to the popular Lonsdale Quay Market, the Polygon Homes' Promenade at The Quay will bring upwards of 150 residents to the heart of North Vancouver. While the 117-unit tower represents the bulk of the project, the multi-storey retail podium, with frontage upon both West Esplanade and Carrie Cates Court, will serve to further animate the local streetscape.

Having replaced a low-rise commercial block, the return of several bays' worth of fine-grain retail will be of major benefit to Lonsdale Quay, the area already a major destination for ample foot traffic and weekend crowds. Designed by Main Street Architecture, the wavy balcony floor plates will go some way towards reminding passersby of the project's geographic proximity to the ocean.

Once complete, Promenade at The Quay will be a fine addition to North Vancouver.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
