Four months since our last update, and progress at Phase One of The Amazing Brentwood has moved ahead significantly. Following the structural completion of the 63-storey residential tower, exterior work upon the multi-use podium base has continued apace, it to not be long before the planned retail spaces open to the public.

Standing adjacent to Brentwood Town Centre in Burnaby, The Amazing Brentwood will eventually span 11 towers, with numerous dining, retail, and entertainment options between them. To date, Phase One consists of the first two towers, along with a large, stacked, retail component at grade (below).

The largest of the podium-level commercial components, to be included in Phase One, will be a Cineplex VIP and REC Room, which will provide the neighbourhood with a full range of family-fun entertainment. By the looks of it, the complex will also be joined by a Starbucks (below), and at least a few more dining and retail options.

Set to become the tallest residential high-rise outside of a major city, the suburban complex will be an exciting new development for Burnaby, the full build-out to bring hundreds, if not thousands, of new residents to the area. Once complete, The Amazing Brentwood will be a landmark development, it to join a short-list of comparable projects currently in the process of transforming the Vancouver suburbs into dynamic, urban spaces.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
