Construction on 567 Clarke + Como - soon to be Coquitlam's tallest tower - has been progressing steadily since our last update back in late May of 2019. Named after the corner it resides on (Clarke Road and Como Lake Avenue) the development is primed to offer future residents the best of both worlds for those looking for a suburban condo lifestyle. That being said, 567 Clarke + Como is quite accessible, located just steps from local parks, the Lougheed Town Centre, and the Burquitlam Skytrain Station on the Millennium Line.

Developed by Macron Developments, the project is set to rise 49 storeys, with 364 units in a mix of configurations and sizes. Upon completion, 567 Clarke + Como will be home to nearly 500 people.

Designed by local firm GBL Architects, the design features a two volume configuration that gives the illusion of two towers which are actually conjoined at the base by a multi level podium. A mixture of glass and concrete are featured in renderings with an emphasis on open-air balconies, as there is rarely a bad view in British Columbia.

When we last checked on this project, the timber framing and reinforced concrete support beams had begun to pop up on-site - fast forward a few months, and construction is now in full swing. Two tower cranes have been installed on the site and work on the first two floors of the podium have begun to take shape.

Upon completion, 567 Clarke + Como will feature an array of amenities spanning both towers and will be sure to leave a lasting mark on the Coquitlam skyline.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
