Coquitlam's tallest tower has been rising quickly since our last update, the 49-storey 567 Clarke + Como by Macron Developments and GBL Architects now standing well above grade. A forest of timber framing and reinforced concrete support beams has taken root on-site, the base of the 364-unit high-rise development to soon be home to nearly 500 people.

The aptly-named 567 Clarke + Como is located at the intersection of Clarke Rd and Como Lake Ave in Burquitlam - just east of the border between Burnaby and Coquitlam - close to transit, parks, and the ever-popular Lougheed Town Centre. Walking distance to the Burquitlam SkyTrain station, 567 Clarke + Como will be a popular address for commuters as well as those looking for a mix of condo living and suburban convenience.

Aside from claiming the title of Coquitlam's tallest tower, the second-most intriguing aspect of the development is its distinctive, two-volume configuration. Giving the illusion of two separate towers, the conjoined duo will place the 49-storey main tower on a common podium with what appears to be either a 15- or 16-storey counterpart.

Once complete, 567 Clarke + Como will feature a generous amenity deck upon the 28th floor, complete with fitness centre, yoga studio, lounge, and children's play room. Over in the smaller tower, a rooftop garden and terrace will provide residences with their own outdoor oasis.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
