Six months since our last update, and progress at the all-but-complete Tate Downtown has continued along at a good clip. The 40-storey, 333-unit, tower by Bonds Group and Merrick Architecture is now functionally complete, with only a few spare finishing touches remaining.

Located at the nexus of Howe and Davie Streets, Tate Downtown will soon welcome home upwards of 500 new residents spread across its 333 condo and townhouse suites. Well-situated within the heart of the city, within close proximity to several galleries, the aptly-named development will add to core's creative flair via the inclusion of its own 10,000 sq. ft. art studio and gallery.

Meanwhile, for the less artistically-inclined, the building will feature a 2,100 sq. ft. fitness centre, in addition to a lounge, private dining room with chef's kitchen, and an expansive, 5,200 sq. ft. rooftop patio and terrace. Taken together, the amenities on offer at Tate Downtown will provide something to fit every taste.

Moving around to the side, the small collection of townhouse units can be seen perched atop the communal amenity and art spaces. Once complete, Tate Downtown will be a fine addition the core, the development to be of particular benefit to city's considerable concentration of creative minds.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
