Ten weeks since our last update, and progress at the site of the all but complete Tate Downtown has been moving along nicely, with crews now busy applying the finishing touches to the exterior. The mixed-use, 40-storey, 333-unit tower by Bonds Group and Merrick Architecture combines several different volumes, the bulk of the structure stood atop a large multi-storey podium.

Located at the corner of Howe and Davie Streets, Tate Downtown will soon deliver upwards of 500 new residents to the nexus of Davie Village and Yaletown. Close to many of the city's best galleries and creative hubs, Tate Downtown takes its inspiration from the local arts scene, the development to include a 10,000 square-foot art studio and gallery.

As for the residential component, there will be a large number of traditional condo units of various sizes and configurations, alongside a small handful of townhouses for those looking for more space. Beyond the studio, amenities will include a 2,100 square-foot fitness centre, lounge, private dining room and chef's kitchen, and a 5,200 square-foot rooftop patio and terrace.

Once complete, Tate Downtown will be a welcome addition to the core, bringing with it an influx of new life and creative activity.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
