After topping off earlier this spring, progress at Tate Downtown has focused upon finishing up its exterior details, with an emphasis upon the completion of its podium base. Designed by Merrick Architecture for Bonds Group of Companies, Tate Downtown's eclectic volumes combine to bring together a mix of uses, from the 40-storey, 333-unit tower, to the handful of townhouses, and 10,000 square-foot art studio and gallery that make up the base of the structure.

Inspired by Vancouver's rich arts scene, the inclusion of the aforementioned four-storey studio and gallery space will add a large creative, cultural component to the development, and as such the tower will surely attract a specific type of clientele.

Beyond galas and art shows, residents will be privy to a full range of amenities, including a 2,100 fitness centre and yoga studio, in addition to a social lounge and private dining room with chef's kitchen for special events. Capping all of this off, the 5,200 square-foot rooftop patio and terrace will more than likely be a popular selling point as well, the promise of great year-round views hard to pass up on.

Paired with multi-storey townhouses, Tate Downtown will offer a full range of living options for it buyers. Once complete, Tate Downtown will bring upwards of 500 new residents to Yaletown, thereby continuing the core's rapid intensification and growth.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
