Three months since our last update, and progress at the site of Polygon HomesPromenade at The Quay in North Vancouver has nearly topped off. The 12-storey, 117-unit, mixed-use residential development now stands at almost full height, with glazing work now beginning to make its way up the structure.

Located adjacent to the Lonsdale Quay Market within steps of the North Vancouver waterfront, the aptly-named Promenade at The Quay will place its more than 200 residents within close proximity to many of the city's prime hotspots. Promenade at The Quay will feature retail frontage along both West Esplanade and Carrie Cates Court, thereby replacing the former strip of low-rise retail which formerly occupied the build site.

The new development will also place residents within easy walking distance of the downtown-bound ferry service, thus adding an extra impetus to buyers with jobs in the core. Equipped thus with an excellent Walk Score, and a thriving local scene, Promenade at The Quay will no doubt be a popular address upon completion.

Diametrically-opposed to the street grid, Promenade at The Quay fits nicely into the local streetscape, its positioning ensuring a minimum of waterfront view obstruction for those north of the site.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
