Seven months since we last checked in at Promenade at The Quay in North Vancouver, and progress has been moving along swiftly. The 12-storey, 117-unit, mixed-use development by Polygon Homes and Main Street Architecture has now risen several storeys above grade and is well past its halfway point.

With frontage along both West Esplanade and Carrie Cates Court, the waterfront-area development is set to include either two or three stories of retail (split between the north and south sides), which will represent a major boon to local street traffic. Having replaced a row of low-rise retail, the addition will be of major benefit to locals and visitors alike.

Adjacent to the popular Lonsdale Quay Market, Promenade at The Quay will no doubt be able to capitalize upon one of North Vancouver's most visited hot spots. Close to the main waterfront and downtown-bound ferry, Promenade at The Quay will likely be an easy sell for those looking for the best of North Vancouver albeit with easy access to downtown.

Viewed above, the diametrically opposed tower-podium configuration has allowed the former to not dominate the latter. Once complete, Promenade at The Quay will be a fine addition to North Van.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
