Six months since our last update, and progress at Escala has moved ahead significantly. The 42-storey Escala tower and towns development in central Burnaby has now moved closer to completion, as crews work to complete cladding and glazing work across both the tower and attached towns, and the adjacent mid-rise structure that altogether comprises the whole of the development.

Located north of BC HWY 7 adjacent to Willingdon Heights Park in Brentwood, the 520-unit Escala will soon deliver upwards of 750 new residents to central Burnaby. Close as well to transit, being within walking distance to Gillmore station, Escala will offer buyers a nice mix of convenience and local services.

Spread across a mixture of high-rise, mid-rise, and townhouse units, Escala's residential component will be supported by a 15,000 sq. ft. amenity space. The amenity deck will be known as the Escala Club, and will include a fitness centre, yoga studio, social lounge, catering kitchen, pool table, ping pong tables, a music room, and two hotel-style guest suites.

369 units will be placed in the tower, with the remaining 151 units to reside in the mid-rise addition. All residents will have access to the Escala Club, the development to more than likely be a prime address upon completion.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
