Four months since we last checked in at the three-tower Burrard Place, and progress has been moving along significantly. The large, multi-storey podium base, set to become the launching pad for the conjoined 54- and 36-storey residential towers, has made the most progress so far, with the beginnings of each tower now sprouting several storeys above grade.

Designed by IBI Group and Revery Architecture for Reliance Properties and the Jim Pattison Group, the 810-unit Burrard Place will one day soon be home to more than 1,000 new residents. Moreover, thanks to the inclusion of a yet to rise 13-storey office tower, the overall headcount for the project may be closer to 1,500.

Located at the corner of Burrard and Drake, the project is well-located within the heart of downtown Vancouver - close to transit, along with the many restaurants, shops, and bars of nearby Davie Village, Yaletown and Granville Street. With retail and a host of other services available at grade, Burrard Place will bring more than just a great influx of people.

For residents, a 30,000 square foot amenity space, to be located in the taller of the two residential towers, will feature a fitness centre, lap pool, children's play room, and a lounge. Set for completion by 2020, Burrard Place will be a prime addition to the core, offering an excellent mix of residential, commercial, and retail.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
