Eight months since our last update, and Elenore on Fifth has transformed from a muddy excavation site, to a budding mid-rise development. Located at the corner of Main and E 5th Ave, the 8-storey, 58-unit, mixed-use structure will one day soon become home to upwards of 75 residents placed above a row of ground-level retail.

For now, however, the mid-rise structure remains more of a low-rise, its scale and subsequent street presence just recently beginning to take shape. The structure will be comprised of a double-height podium level with a cafe and other retail services available, while the tower portion will sit askew, thereby providing some added whimsy to the development.

Close to several major arteries and commercial corridors, and well-served by multiple bus routes with connections to the SkyTrain, Elenore on Fifth will be an ideal address for those looking for a truly urban experience. Designed by Proscenium Architecture for Chard Developments, Elenore on Fifth has been cleverly made to fit into the surrounding streetscape by way of its off-kilter massing and setbacks.

Elenore on Fifth will feature a host of amenities, including a green roof complete with children's play areas and garden plots for adults, which will help improve the structure's sustainability. Once complete, Elenore on Fifth will be a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
