Nearly two months since our last update, and progress at the site of the Freemasons-inspired The Beverley in New Westminster is moving along slowly but surely. The bracing has begun to come down from the century-old facade of the Freemasons Hall, the historic structure having now been shored up and stabilized.

As for the 19-storey, 150-unit, residential rental tower by Perkins + Will, progress has been a bit slower, the structure looking very much as it did back in October. This being said, exterior work has been moving along, with cladding now imminent across much of the tower.

Located at 508 Agnes Street in New Westminster, close to the Columbia SkyTrain station, the centrally-located development will be a major draw for those looking to live in the heart of the historic Vancouver suburb. The Beverley is also within easy walking distance to Tipperary Park, Westminster Pier Park, and the waterfront, as well as the many shops, restaurants, and bars that call New Westminster home.

Inspired by the unique geometric equations at play within the historic Freemasons Hall, The Beverley has itself inherited several of its own mathematical quirks, thereby playing homage to the site's distinctive past. Once complete, The Beverley will bring an influx of up to 250 residents, the development to be a welcome addition to the area.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
