Going up fast in downtown New Westminster, the 19-storey, 150-unit, The Beverley has now topped off high above the historic Freemason's Hall that has been retained at the base of the tower. Designed by Perkins + Will, the new rental tower has incorporated a significant amount of Freemasons-inspired mathematical calculations and geometry, the structure's rise synonymous with the lodge's revitalization.

Viewed above, the century-old Freemason's Hall has been retained, its facade to be completely restored and incorporated into the base of the new tower. The Hall had long been vacant, leaving the facade to deteriorate as time and vandals took their toll.

Located at 508 Agnes Street, just a few blocks north of the Columbia SkyTrain station in central New Westminster, The Beverly will be the perfect destination for renters looking to retain an urban, walkable lifestyle, albeit far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Walking distance to Tipperary Park, Westminster Pier Park, and the waterfront, residents will be easily connected to nature and the majority of New Westminster's most popular attractions.

The Beverley will bring upwards of 250 new residents to the area, the building to come with a host of amenities including a party room, yoga room, indoor and outdoor lounges, dog park, and an urban agricultural garden. Once complete, The Beverley will be a welcome addition to the city, the revitalization of the Freemason's Hall a major boon for local heritage.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
