Coming soon to the heart of North Vancouver, The Lonsdale by Hollyburn Properties and Francl Architecture will soon be home to upwards of 200 new residents. The 19-storey high-rise apartment tower is currently rising at 1301-1333 Lonsdale Ave just north of 13th St W, along the busy commercial corridor between Lower and North Lonsdale.

The Lonsdale will be comprised of 112 one-bedrooms, 16 two-bedrooms, and 16 three-bedrooms, thereby providing renters with a full range of options and price points. Amenities will include a rooftop terrace, lounge, and fitness centre.

The tower will rise from a wide, double-height podium base, the bottom of which will be occupied by a row of fine-grain retail facing onto Lonsdale Ave. The retail portion will essentially replace the row of low-rise commercial storefronts that the development previously erased from the streetscape.

For now, however, work crews are hard at it below grade, the tower's ascent still very much in its infancy. Set for completion by 2020, The Lonsdale promises to be a fine addition to the neighbourhood, part of North Vancouver's ongoing urban transformation.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
