Two months since our last update, and progress at the site of Rize Alliance's Chris Dikeakos Architects-designed Gold House has been moving along swiftly. Both towers have now topped off, leaving work crews to complete the project's signature gilding, the aptly named Gold House to bring the Midas touch to Burnaby.

The 41- and 26-storey Gold House towers are located at 6377 McKay Ave in Burnaby's rapidly rising Metrotown district, the development to deliver 302 units. Representing a population influx of roughly 500 new residents, the rise in pedestrian vibrancy will be a plus for the area, part of suburban Burnaby's urban transformation.

Built atop large, multi-storey podiums, each of the two towers will feature a sizeable ground-floor retail component, along with a full range of amenities. Typical of the area, an additional 6 townhouses will be attached to the base of the towers, thereby providing buyers will a more traditional housing option.

Once complete, the gilded Gold House towers will bring a splash of vibrancy to Metrotown, their flashy exterior's to inject some much-needed visual interest into the surrounding skyline.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
