Three months since our last update, and progress at the site of Pinnacle International and Bingham Hill Architect's Pinnacle on the Park has been moving along nicely, the 18-storey residential development now reaching at least two storeys above grade. Situated just a stone throw's away from False Creek and Science World, and thus as well to the Main Street-Science World SkyTrain station, the 137-unit high-rise will place residents close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver.

Now standing at least two storeys above grade, the bulk of Pinnacle on the Park will rise above a five-storey podium base, whose rooftop will eventually become home to an outdoor terrace and garden. Inside the podium, indoor amenities will include a fitness centre, children's play area, and several lounges.

Part of False Creek's ongoing intensification, Pinnacle on the Park is but the latest high-rise development to come online in the area over the last few years. Viewed above, true to the area's ongoing development boom, the site is framed by recent additions to the streetscape, the new tower to be right at home.

Owing to the neighbourhood's unique relationship with False Creek, and in particular the coveted southerly views of the downtown skyline, the change in volume from podium to tower was designed very much with sight lines in mind - the developer keen to ensure they are good neighbours.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
