Six weeks since our last update, and progress at the site of BOSA Properties' 33-and-28-storey RiverSky residential development in New Westminster has been moving along nicely. Recently topped-off, the towers are beginning to look more and more complete, owing as well to the progress made in terms of cladding installation.

Designed by NSDA Architects, the 519-unit residential high-rise development is currently being clad with aquamarine glazing, which will be carried across both towers and their shared, six-storey podium base.

Capped with setback building crowns, each of the towers has been outfitted with top-floor penthouse suites, described by the architect as "lantern-like penthouse expressions." Visible above, these have all but topped-off, as the cladding work below continues to make up ground.

Viewed above, the close-up of the tower and podium highlights the contrast between the them, the base of the project to be comprised by five storeys of above-ground parking on top of one floor of ground-level retail. Once complete, RiverSky will bring at least 750 new residents to Quayside Drive, just steps away from the New Westminster SkyTrain Station at the western edge of the local business district.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
