The two-tower RiverSky project in New Westminster has experienced a growth spurt since our last construction update in November. At 1000 Quayside Drive, Bosa Properties and NSDA Architects is installing a 33- and 28-storey building complex containing a total of 519 one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums.

Two towers sit atop a six-storey podium with commercial space on the ground floor, parking above that, and a podium green roof integrated with outdoor and indoor amenities. NSDA Architects likens this feature to a "ship's promenade deck."

Given their wide view exposures, the building crowns were key considerations during the design process. NSDA developed "lantern-like penthouse expressions" to bring the towers to a vertical close.

Photos from the Forum show how the exterior is shaping up now that glazing has begun installation on the concrete skeleton. The incline of the parking ramps is clearly visible in the photos. Powder blue-toned spandrel panels separate the windowpanes, further articulated by extruding balconies.
