Eight weeks since our last update, and progress at the site of Westbank's Bjarke Ingles Group-designed Vancouver House has been rolling along smoothly, the latest photos on our Forum highlighting the work to date on the podium level along with the tower high above.

Visible above and below, the multi-storey podium base will eventually be home to 80,000 square feet of office space atop an additional 60,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, the latter to be accompanied by a mix of restaurants, cafes, and other services.

Appreciable in the above photo, as well as in the close-up view below, the signature, sculptural facade, soon to be wrapped in a multitude of grey metallic vertical spandrel panels, will eventually give off a striking visual presence.

Currently in the process of applying the spandrel panels overtop of the white membrane, it will only be a matter of time before the entire facade is ensconced in grey.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
