It's been over a year since we checked in on the progress of Prime on the Plaza, a 37-storey condominium by Macdonald Development Corporation and Reliance Properties in Surrey City Centre. It had just begun its highrise ascent at that time, and since then, the Bingham Hill Architects-designed tower has topped out beside the under-construction SFU Energy Systems Engineering Building.

The building packs 398 residences that adopt the ethos of modal living. Adaptable depending on the time of day, the micro-condos offer floor plans as tight as 295 square feet. Buyers looking for more space have snatched up townhomes or two-bedroom corner homes that max out at 796 square feet. All suites feature up to nine-foot ceiling heights, wide plank hardwood engineered floors and European styled integrated appliances.

The development will include a comprehensive 16,000-square-foot amenities collection that offers residents a fully equipped gym, wellness area with a sauna and steam room, private music practice and study rooms, entertainment spaces, and a rooftop lounge and patio featuring a full kitchen, dining room and outdoor barbecue.
