That's probably to accommodate the extra tall lobby. You can see the concrete columns in the foreground.

The lower floor cladding looks lighter than above, because there looks to be fritt that is blocking out the void spaces
around the curving ceiling at the entry. That causes a patchy appearance.
Pics were taken at 6:30pm, so fairly low light.
It does brighten up the area, although there is Conference Plaza kitty corner which also has sea foam green glass.
I did not take note of 333 Seymour's base.
