Vancouver, 2810 & 2830 Grandview Highway

The City of Vancouver has received an application to rezone 2810 and 2830 Grandview Highway from C-1 (Commercial) District to Comprehensive Development (CD-1) District to allow for a six-storey mixed-use building. The proposal includes:

• 57 rental residential units with 20% of the residential floor area assigned to moderate income households;
• commercial uses at grade;
• a floor area of 7,256 sq. m (78,103 sq. ft.);
• a floor space ratio (FSR) of 3.12;
• a building height of 21 m (69 ft.);
• 41 underground parking spaces (including one car share);
• 111 bicycle spaces.

This application is being considered under the Moderate Income Rental Housing Pilot Program.

Not the most ground-breaking design, but hopefully this will start the revitalization of that stretch of Grandview Highway. There is so much potential for redevelopment around the Renfrew and Rupert skytrain stations.
