    601 West Hastings | ?m | 25s | PCI Developments | B+H

This is looking good. My only wish would be to have more of a true curve on the corners.

Major office tower designed by BIG proposed for BC Place Stadium corner

Yeah it would be great to see this go ahead. Another cool tower added to Vancouver's list.

    The Smithe | 87.47m | 27s | Boffo Developments | GBL Architects

I love it. It's so nice to see some glass that's different from the usual gray, beige or sea foam.

    8X On The Park | 98m | 35s | Brenhill | GBL Architects

Love that skyline shot Officedweller. I also like those closer in shots you've been posting (like the one above). It's showing off the density of the area, reminds me of Hong Kong.

    1335 Howe Street | ?m | 40s | Onni | IBI Group

It seems like this one is taking a long time. Does anyone know if there was some kind of hold up?

    NORTH VANCOUVER | The Royals | ?m | 23s | Chard Development | MCM Partnership

Thanks for creating a thread. I was wondering what was going on there.

It's going to be nice watching this rise. Thanks for the updates OfficeDweller!

    BURNABY | Gold House | ?m | 41 fl | Rize Alliance | Chris Dikeakos

You don't see gold that often on buildings in North america, it's something more common in India, China or Russia. I like it if anything because it's different.

BURNABY | The City of Lougheed | Tower two | 48 fl

Nice to see this close to grade.

    Capilano Residences | ?m | 18s | Larco | Wensley Architecture

Not really liking this one. The scale and overall massing is fine, but too many colours. Looks like a paint by number.

    Senakw Development | ?m | 56s | Squamish Nation | Revery Architecture

I was expecting negativity to the project, I mean it is Vancouver after all. Excellent to see this kind of positive feedback.

    Senakw Development | ?m | 56s | Squamish Nation | Revery Architecture

Also the ubiquitous 'parking' you can bet there'll be some loud opposition. Hope this goes ahead.

    Senakw Development | ?m | 56s | Squamish Nation | Revery Architecture

Looks like something you'd see in Dubai or Shanghai.

    400 West Georgia Street | 91.74m | 24s | Westbank | Merrick Architecture

For sure. I mean it would look cool if it was tall enough to see from all over.

    COQUITLAM | Lougheed Heights | ?m | 39 fl | Bosa

Painted concrete looks good, I wish they would do that more often.

NEW WESTMINSTER | The Columbia at Brewery District | 26 fl

Yeah I guess I shouldn't judge the look of an area how it's seen from the train. Often the area right around the train line isn't nice. You go back a few blocks and things change.

Condo vs Rental stock in Vancouver

It's always good to have lots of rental stock. I like Vancouver but one things that sucks about it is the rental stock, there isn't the choice you would get in Toronto or Montreal. To buy in Vancouver is incredibly expensive. Although Toronto has gotten expensive recently.

    The Amazing Brentwood | ?m | 63s | Shape | James KM Cheng

The skylines of Metrotown and Brentwood will be bigger and more noticeable, but not as picturesque as downtown Vancouver skyline. The skylines of Burnaby remind me of the Mississauga skyline.
