Replace an old 2 stories building with a 7 stories commercial building, thats a big improvement.
 
I know with its heavy weight it will be fine, but something about that CAT at ground level parked slightly over the edge of the pit... just looks sketchy to me.

It's probably fine, but it wouldn't be the first time machinery gave way on an edge like that. Last year in Newfoundland a port-a-potty gave way a fell over - with someone in it o_O
