Four single-detached homes will be replaced by a mid-rise condominium on East Broadway near Garden Drive, if plans by developer Lotus Capital are approved. The City recently received an application to rezone 2246-2268 East Broadway to permit the development of a six-storey residential building.

Designed by Omicron, the building would contain a total of 57 units, broken down into 24 studios, 11 one-bedrooms, 16 two-bedrooms, and six three-bedrooms. Units would range in size from 465 square feet for studios to 1,054 square feet for three-bedroom plans.

A total of 47 underground parking stalls are proposed, plus four surface parking spaces and 114 bicycle spots. A 400-square-foot amenity room will also be included, to be located on the ground floor.

The application is being considered under the Grandview-Woodland Community Plan. A community open house will be held at an unannounced future date.
