The 54-storey One Burrard Place continues its ascent into the Vancouver skyline, making a visible impact from up close and afar. While cladding is progressing on the residential tower, the office portion of the mixed-use downtown development is also now clearly becoming evident.
To eventually include three towers, the project is one of the largest single developments currently underway in Vancouver. Reliance Properties and Jim Pattison Developments are responsible for Burrard Place, with IBI Group serving as the architect behind the contemporary design.
A total of 394 homes will be held within One Burrard Place, which soars from the northwest corner of Drake and Hornby Streets. The commercial component now revealing itself occupies the adjacent lot at Drake and Burrard Streets. Designed by the late Bing Thom, the AAA office tower at 1280 Burrard Street climbing towards its 13-storey apex will host 150,000 square feet of space.
A third tower proposed in the middle of the block just south of the 7-Eleven at Hornby and Davie Streets will include a total of 233 homes, over 40,000 square feet of office space and over 5,000 square feet of retail space.
