A twin tower development under construction in Burnaby is displaying some of its key architectural attributes as the project continues to go vertical. Etoile by Millennium Development Group will eventually rest at a height 32 and 26 storeys above 2360 Douglas Road—just southwest of the Millennium Line's Holdom Station—but passersby already have a good idea of what the final product will look like.

Etoile adds to an existing pocket of density in the immediate area, intensifying the northern corner of Douglas Road and Goring Street, which was previously occupied by a series of low-rise commercial structures.

A total of 398 units will be included in the form of one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts with generous terraces attached. A collection of eight multi-level townhomes at grade also provide discerning buyers with extra living space in the quickly urbanizing area.

A curvilinear podium following the circular shape of the porte-cochère will bridge the two buildings and provide a rooftop amenity space for residents, complete with a large outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and sundeck. Each tower also comes with its own private social lounge, fitness centre, and his and her steam rooms.

Key elements of the Chris Dikeakos Architects-designed building have already taken shape, particularly the balconies' curved corners. Window wall glazing application is also keeping pace with the rise of the tallest tower.
