A recent batch of photos uploaded to our Forum show the finished state of Aqua at Plaza 88, a 40-storey tower in New Westminster and the tallest rental building in Western Canada. The final tower in a cluster of buildings huddled around New Westminster Station on the Expo Line, the project at 900 Carnarvon Street is now renting.

Developed by Starlight Investments, fully furnished and unfurnished suites are starting at $1,483 a month. The 398 units in the project are complemented by a number of amenities, including terraces on the 6th and 37th floors. An 8,000-square-foot amenities space with a fitness centre, shower and steam rooms is also included, along with a multi-purpose lounge and entertaining room.

The building's multi-storey above-grade parking garage anchors the tower to the street. A perforated metal screen displaying orange and blue accents helps mask the parkade.

The development application permitting the project to go ahead was approved in 2015 following revisions to the height, podium size and number of units.
