Two months since we last checked in on The Pacific by Grosvenor in downtown Vancouver, and progress has been swift. The first few floors of the 39-storey high-rise development has now risen above grade, it to not be long now until passersby get a fuller picture of the project's size and scope.

Located, as the name implies, at the intersection of Pacific and Hornby, The Pacific by Grosvenor will place future residents close to Yaletown, Davie Village, and the sights and sounds of Granville Street. In total, the project will place upwards of 300 residents within the core, spread as they will be, across the tower's planned 214 units.

Partners IBI Group and ACDF Architecture have joined forces to bring a dose of bold, modern design to the project, The Pacific by Grosvenor to feature a unique sawtooth-patterned glass curtain wall. The textural quality will be provided primarily by the gradually-increasing balcony floor plates, which will get larger from top to bottom.

Last but not least, no mention of the project is complete without mentioning the remains of the 1880s-built Leslie House (above) which has been moved to the edge of the site. The historic home will be restored and incorporated into the base of the tower.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
