Station Square, a 5 tower development located in the Metrotown neighbourhood of Burnaby, has progressed significantly in recent months. With the recent completion of Towers Two and Three, the development is on its way to a full build-out,and has begun to make a noticeable impact on the ever-evolving Burnaby skyline.

Upon completion, Station Square will feature 5 buildings in a mix of different heights and storey counts. The mixed-use development will eventually be home to nearly 2,000 new residents and upwards of 450,000 square feet of new office and retail space.

Designed by local firm Chris Dikeakos Architects, Station Square features a very modern exterior look consisting primarily of glass with alternating balconies throughout. The notable exception architecturally is the soon to be built Tower Five, which features designs from the New York-based firm of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (Hong Kong's International Commerce Centre, New York's 30 Hudson Yards).

Tower Two and Three, rising 35 and 57 storeys respectively, are connected by a shared podium at their base. WeWork will be occupying two of the buildings' lower floors featuring 1,200 co-working desks. In addition, a Pricesmart store will anchor the development with retail, in addition to BC restaurant chains Cactus Club and Earl's. Looking forward, Station Square can anticipate the addition of two more towers at 45 & 52 storeys apiece (currently under construction) slated for a 2021 completion.

Additional information along with renderings of the tower can be found in our Database for the project, linked below. Want to get involved in the discussion? Check out the associated Forum threads, or leave a comment in the space provided at the bottom of this page.
