Two months since we last checked in at 510 W Broadway, and progress has moved ahead significantly. What was recently little more than a dirt-packed excavation site, has blossomed into a full-fledged build site.

Located, as the name suggests, at the corner of W Broadway and Cambie Street in Mt Pleasant, the former site of an Original Joe's restaurant has given way to a major build site - the future home of 510 W Broadway. Spearheaded by Yorkson, Pacific Crown, and W. T. Leung Architects, the 7-storey mixed-use commercial structure will combine a bank, office space, and a restaurant.

The bank will occupy the first floor, the restaurant the second, while floors 3-7 will be leased to a mix of commercial tenants. Walking distance to Broadway-City Hall station, and at the nexus of two bustling commercial corridors, the new development will more than likely be a popular one among future tenants.

Moreover, 510 W Broadway will also feature two large rooftop terraces (3rd and 4th floors), in addition to a fitness centre, 79 underground parking stalls, and 12 bike stalls. Set to achieve LEED Gold certification, the green-friendly development will be a fine addition to the core.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
