More than a year since our last update, and progress at the three-tower Kings Crossing development in Burnaby has moved ahead significantly. Each of the 36-, 31-, and 28-storey towers has now topped off, with cladding either complete, or near completion.

Comprising an impressive, 803 units, the development by Cressy and IBI Group is on target to deliver upwards of 1,200 residents to Burnaby's Middlegate district. Located at 7350 Edmonds St, close to Kingsway, the aptly-named Kings Crossing will place buyers in close proximity to the Edmonds SkyTrain station, as well as several local shops and restaurants.

The bulk of units range from 543-1,200 sq. ft., and boast extra-height ceilings, and open concept layouts. As for the penthouse collection, these will feature 10.5-ft. ceilings, marble and/or limestone-clad bathrooms, and two parking stalls per unit.

Down at street level, it is perhaps the mid-rise amenity pavilion (above) which has garnered the most photographic attention, its angular, glassy silhouette catching the eye. Set to be equipped with full range of amenities, including a fitness centre, sports courts, and a large outdoor terrace complete with fire pits, a children's play area, and an open-air theatre, the pavilion will be a focal point for residents and their guests.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
