Almost a year since we last checked in at the Richmond International Trade Centre, and progress has been moving forward at a slow but steady pace. Following thus in the same pattern of false starts and delays, the three-volume mixed-use project has now entered well into the cladding phase, it to not be long before we get a look at the finished product.

Developed by MYIE Group, and designed by GBL Architects, the Richmond International Trade Centre includes two office towers at 10 and 12 storeys apiece, in addition to a 14-storey luxury hotel and retail space.

Forming a large, block-long "wedge," the new trade centre will (eventually) begin a new chapter within central Richmond.

The two office towers will each contain about 8,500 sq. ft. of commercial space per floor, while the OPUS by YOO Collection hotel will have room for 110 guests. Once complete, the development will bring a great deal of height and density to Richmond.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
