Six weeks since our last update, and progress at the Freemasons-inspired The Beverley has moved ahead at a slow, but steady pace. Scaffolding has now come down off of the historic facade of the old Freemasons Hall, signalling that the 19-storey residential project by Perkins + Will will soon be complete.

Constructed with the historic Freemasons Hall very much in consideration, The Beverley has succeeded in maintaining the heritage facade, which is to be incorporated into the project's base. Moreover, many of the original mathematical eccentricities from the Freemason-built structure have been carried over to the new tower, which though subtle, will add a nice sense of cohesion to the project.

The Beverley contains 150 units, which in total will represent an influx of upwards of 250 people to central New Westminster. Located at 508 Agnes Street, just a quick walk away from the Columbia SkyTrain, The Beverley will place buyers within close proximity to the many shops, restaurants, and cafes of the historic downtown core.

Close as well to several parks and the scenic waterfront, The Beverley will be a prime address for years to come.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
