Excavation continues to progress at the Midtown Central project site at 702 E Broadway. The project is the third in the successful Midtown series developed by Port Living. Designed by Studio B Architects, Midtown 3 will add more mid-rise housing to the Mt. Pleasant neighbourhood.

Plans call for the construction of a 4-storey mixed-use building. There will be two commercial retail units at grade. The residential component will have 33 condominium units, with 20 studio, 9 one- and 4 two-bedroom units, as well as 2 townhouse units at grade on Fraser St. There will be two levels of underground parking.

The project is targeting the Greenest City Action Plan, which it will fulfill by having 32 percent of the units have access to urban agriculture, and compost and tool storage facilities along with it. The urban agriculture plots will be located on the roof. The building will also have energy conservation features and takes advantage of the central Fraser and Broadway location.

The location is well-served by transit, with nearby access to the Broadway 09 and 99 buses. Kingsgate Mall and the Main Street area are a 600 metre walk, Sahalli Park is 150 metres, and China Creek North Park is 600 metres. There are also numerous restaurants in the area ranging from pizza to sushi to Ethiopian food. Vancouver Community College and Emily Carr University of Art + Design are also within walking distance.
