Several months since our last update, and the recently completed Milano has become a fixture upon the Brentwood skyline. Located close to central Burnaby, within walking distance to the Brentwood Town Centre and SkyTrain station of the same name, the well-situated Milano joins a host of similar high-rise projects in the area.

Looking up from street level, it is clear that the 30-storey Milano has been finished in an assortment of high-end cladding materials and exterior finishes. Stark white with dark metallic accents, the 176-unit Milano remains a standout tower among an ocean of steel and glass.

Adding to Milano's fashionable accoutrements, the inclusion of a howling wolf/dog at the base of the tower brings a sense of elegance and whimsy to the otherwise stark outer character of the development. Inside, a full range of amenities await residents and their guests, including a fitness centre, steam room, bike repair station, car wash stations, and, fittingly, a dog wash station.

While the bulk of the units reside within the main portion of the tower, the top two floors within the setback uppermost portion will be home to a collection of 3,400 sq. ft. penthouse suites. Nonetheless, all residents will be able to enjoy the 20,000 sq. ft outdoor terrace, complete with fire pits, an open-air kitchen, playground, herb garden, and outdoor theatre.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
