Four months since our last update, and progress at the site of Bosa Properties' Cardero has been moving along swiftly. Rising fast at the corner of Cardero and W Georigia Streets, the multi-storey podium level of the 26-strorey condo tower has now taken shape.

Following the curve of W Georgia and W Pender Streets along which the front of the development will face, the podium and subsequent tower have been split into two architecturally-distinct volumes. Rising from a more or less common base, the 4-storey commercial podium will place 45,000 square feet of office space in its top three floors, situated above a strip of street level retail.

Up above, the conjoined 26- and 21-storey tower partitions will each take on their own character, the larger of the two, to front onto the corner, to be angular and white, while its slightly diminutive partner will be more aesthetically subdued and more overtly rectilinear. Upwards of 200 new residents will be spread across Cardero's 119 units, representing a lively influx of new life into the neighbourhood.

The development will be outfitted with a full range of high quality finishes, including wide-plank oak floors, honed limestone tile flooring, quartz counter tops, and BOSAspace built-in furniture designed to maximize space. Amenities will include a lounge, fitness centre, and sixth floor rooftop deck with BBQ area and terrace.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
