Currently on the rise in central Richmond, within easy walking distance to the Brighouse SkyTrain station, the 15-storey, 109-unit Alfa by Andrew Cheung Architects is on target to deliver upwards of 150 new residents. With pilings in place, it will not be long now before the residential high-rise at 8151 Anderson Rd, near the intersection of No 3 Rd and Granville Ave, will begin to take shape.

Close as well to the CF Richmond Centre, a giant mall surrounded by big box stores and popular chain restaurants and other services, Alfa will be a prime address for those looking for easy access to both entertainment and rapid transit. Near as well to several parks, and a host of schools, Alfa will be also ideal for young families getting their start on the property ladder.

The bulk of the multi-volume tower will rise from a large podium base with ground floor retail. This arrangement will allow for an ample amount of rooftop amenity space, including a large deck and lounge in addition to the inclusion of several private terraces.

Viewed above, the renderings for the project highlight the way in which the aforementioned volume changes and setbacks help ease the development into the neighbourhood. Once complete, Alfa will be a fine addition to central Richmond.

SkyriseVancovuer will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
