Internal demolition is underway on the massive Post on Georgia project in the former Main Post Office building at 349 West Georgia Street. Developed by Quadreal Property Group and Bentall Kennedy LLP, with design by Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership architects, the project will be the largest heritage redevelopment in Canadian history when complete.

Almost all of the external Main Post Office building will be retained, and it will be a seven-storey podium when finished. Two office towers will be added on separate sides of the podium, with 21 storeys of office space on West Georgia Street and 22 storeys of office space on Dunsmuir Street. The podium itself will contain a mixture of parking, office, and retail, with three full levels of retail space. The gross floor area of the project will be 1,917,349 square feet. There will be a total of 819 parking stalls in underground and podium levels, and 474 bicycle parking spaces.

The project is targeting LEED Gold certification for the office core and shell of the building, and will feature the retention of numerous artworks and aspects of the original Main Post Office building. It will feature public space on the Georgia Street side of the building. There will be 362 clothing lockers provided for cyclists, and multiple showers and grooming stations.

The building is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, and will provide a considerable amount of office space located almost equidistant between Vancouver City Centre, Granville, and Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain stations, with a mere eight-minute walk to each.
