Six months since our last update, and progress at the site of Onni Group's 28-storey Brookmere in Burquitlam has moved along significantly, the tower and townhouse development now all but complete. Located at 535 North Road, within easy walking distance of a shopping centre, big box stores, and the Lougheed Town Centre SkyTrain, the 218-unit Brookmere will soon be a popular address for those looking for a mix of access to local services and a quick commute.

The Chris Dikeakos Architects-designed residential high-rise and townhouse development features a large tower placed above a 11,560 square-foot retail space, with an adjacent low-rise block of town homes allowing for a mix of configurations and unit types. Most notable by far, the orange-emblazoned accents along one side of the tower serve to give the development a punch of pizzazz.

For those looking for a more traditional setup, and more room, the townhouses will provide this in spades, the generous outdoor terraces adding a decidedly homey element.

Close to the SkyTrain and a mix of local services, Brookmere will be a fine addition to Burquitlam, part of the Vancouver suburb's ongoing intensification.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
