Two months since our last update, and progress at the site of the 35-storey Evolve residential high-rise by WestStone Group has nearly reached completion. Designed by Chris Dikeakos Architects, the 407-unit tower will soon welcome home upwards of 700 new residents to Surrey City Centre, close to ample shopping, SFU Surrey, and the SkyTrain.

Evolve sold out long ago, its central location and early sales gimmicks more than enough to move every last unit. Rising high above a three-storey podium, the 85,000 square-foot flex space will become split between uses from commercial to building amenities.

The flex space will be a popular addition, especially should the bulk of it goes towards retail - the immediate surroundings as of yet still lacking in local options. As for amenities, Evolve will include a theatre, meeting rooms, a fitness centre, and a generous outdoor terrace.

Once complete, Evolve will be a welcome addition, the development part of the ongoing transformation of Surrey City Centre into a bustling urban-suburban destination.

SkyriseVancouver will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
